2 years ago, when I was still on the way back home from the west, I almost spent all my leisure time on pictures and blogging. The purpose that I uploaded the pictures were illustrating my diaries, to let you guys see what I saw on the way….
After 2 years, I don’t think there will be someone looking back to all the stories (even myself), the purpose I organize these pictures is to finish, to end, to make a closure of the travel. Of course, the memories will never be closed. But this kind of finish is important for myself to proceed the future photographic “work”. So I don’t upload as many as before, only the pictures are meaningful to me, some special highlights of the past memories, sometimes somehow they would appear in my dream, or just a flash when I saw something similar….
I don’t know how long time I will keep moving around the world. At least, now I am in DR Congo, Lubutu. But the style of so called “traveling” is totally different from what I did before already. Packing luggages is part of my life in these two years, but as my current job with MSF, I stayed in one single place for 2 or three months, everything is taken cared by the organization (tickets, accommodations, transportation…) It’s no more sort of backpacking or adventurous things, it’s job.
I won’t regard myself as not going back to backpacking anymore, but I do confess in these days I feel a little bit aging. There are still countless destinations to go, but I don’t know if I will be so courageous as before. I want to spend at least 6 months in central or south America, but it not only takes time, but also money. As my current lifestyle and income, the economics issue is something somehow I should take into my consideration. and of course, the opportunities of changing my career is another important issue I always keep in mind…..
Anyway, that’s life, c’est la vie, Es la vita! 這就是人(len二聲)參阿～～～＊遠目＊
